Arizona's Scott Frost has won the 2005 U.S. Open one-pocket championship! This
tournament was played at the Plaza hotel in Las Vegas Nevada on October 27th and 28th,
2005. Scott won the hot seat match over Gabe Owens then waited for Gabe to come from
the one-loss side, to match up the two friends, in a one race to five games extended final.
Scott won the championship match 5-1 by putting on a one-pocket display of shot making
that left most in the crowd shaking their heads in disbelief. The run Scott made in game
six, the last game of the 2005 U.S. Open Championship, was nothing short of
unbelievable. When the last ball fell, a bank shot that seemed to be impossible from the
angle he faced, Scott jumped for joy, as he celebrated what may be his biggest win ever.
Scott later told the staff of The Arizona Pool Scene that he dedicated this tournament and
victory to his father.
Congratulations to Scott Frost on his huge win at the 2005 U.S. Open one-pocket
Championships!
