An Arizona Pool Player Needs Our Help!

Larry Olson, who has been playing pool around Arizona for quite some time, needs our
help.  Larry's wife has cancer and it seems they are not getting much help from their
insurance company.  Larry's wife's name is Cathy.  The below letter was written by Cathy's
sister, Nancy Kmett.
Hi to all of my friends and family!

Please read the following letter about my sister Cathy and send it on to as many people you know.  We need your help. This
is a plea to save her life. After reading the letter, please click on the link below to watch Cathy’s news interview on her
Leukemia and insurance issues.  Thank you, Nancy Kmett

Please Help!!!!

Cathy Olson has been diagnosed with a rare life threatening form of leukemia.  She has a combination of Acute Myeloid and
Acute Lymphoblast Leukemia-Philadelphia Positive.  After testing her four siblings in December of 2006 and not finding a
match, along with an extensive and ongoing search of the National Bone Marrow Bank, finding an adult donor has become
highly unlikely because Cathy has a rare and unique DNA makeup.  Her doctors have recommended a cord blood transplant;
blood from an umbilical cord which is donated after the birth of a baby.  This is the only procedure that will save Cathy’s life
and it has been denied by her insurance company.

Cathy has already endured oral chemo and several rounds of intravenous chemo, which included spinal injections.  While
these treatments have put the disease in remission for now, it will not last.  Cathy’s only hope for a long healthy life is to
have the cord blood transplant as soon as possible.  Her doctors were ready to proceed in January of 2007 but her
insurance denied the life saving procedure.  Every appeal has subsequently been denied.  The insurance company is signing
the death certificate of a vital 58 year young woman who is a wife, mother, grandmother and a registered nurse.

Cathy lives in the Phoenix area and currently has the opportunity to receive the life saving procedure at the University of
Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis at her own expense.  Because her insurance has denied the life saving procedure,
she is forced to pay in cash for the transplant, hospital stay and four month recovery stay in Minneapolis .  The estimated
cost is in excess of $600,000.

Cathy and her family really need your help in this trying time in the form of a monetary donation.  A donation of any amount
will be used for the life saving cord blood transplant and after care. Cathy has a foundation set up in her name to receive
donations of any amount.  Asking for help in this manner is not an easy task for her or her family, but drastic times require
drastic measures.  Please help the Olson family.
