| Jimmy Mendoza Wins First Leg Of The 2007 Arizona All-Around |
The 2007 Olhausen Arizona All-Around Tour found the first leg of the tour stopping at Main Street
Billiards in Mesa. The tournament was an eight-ball tourney played on the big tables. The tournament
was played on Saturday and Sunday January 20th and 21st. There were 64 players entered.
Jimmy Mendoza won the tournament when he defeated Scott Frost in a one set - race to 11 - finals.
Jimmy had to come from the one loss side to get into the finals against Scott who held the hot seat. When
you play as good as Scott, the hot seat becomes very familiar.
However, when you play as good as Jimmy, there is not a tournament ever held that he does not have a
chance to win! Sunday was Jimmys' day as he battled the one-loss side players and did indeed escape to
the finals which he won over Scott 11 games to 8.
