2007 AzBCA Tournament in Parker, Arizona
Six Events ~ Six New Champions

The 2007 AzBCA State Championships were
held in Parker, Arizona on March 23rd - 25th.
Six Events were held at these Championships
and six new Champions came away with the
hardware. 2007 Parker offered no repeat
champions.
In the Ladies Open Singles event, Kitty Carroll
from Kitty's Bar, finished first when she
defeated Cathy Kelley in the finals. Holly Ryan
took third.
In the Men's Open Singles event, Charles
Peten finished first when he double dipped
Ron Weeks in a two set final. Randy Pelton
and Evans Bishop rounded out the top four.
In the Ladies Masters Singles event, Michaele
Kedanis, from Alexander's, finished first when
she defeated last years Ladies Champ, Bernie
Store, in the finals. These two ladies are
teammates on a team that participated in the
Ladies Team event.
In the Men's Master Singles, Dennis Orender,
from Alexanders, defeated his teammate,
Jimmy Mendoza, in the finals. This was the
second year in a row Jimmy has finished
second in the Men's Masters.
In the Ladies Team event, the Metro Closers,
from Metro Sportz Bar, won first place when
they defeated the Alexander's Angels in the
finals. This was the first loss for the Angels in
many, many, a year!
In the final event, the Men's Team event ...
Alexander's Numero Uno team, playing out of
Alexander's, defeated last years team champ,
Northern Lounge PLM, in the finals.
Alexander's "Cop & Robbers" finished third
while Eric Olson's team from On The Snap in
Prescott Valley rounded out the top four.
All in all, this years AzBCA event was another
huge success. The Arizona Pool Scene wants
to take this opportunity to thank those folks
from the Arizona State Tournament Committee
for doing such a wonderful job. A special
thanks to the following individuals seen
working tiring and endless hours at the
"Charts". Mike Howerton, Holly Ryan, Bull
Vankerkwyk, Scott Waterhouse, Chuck Parrill,
Kristie Ortega, and Lynn Shumaker.
