Breaking News #80
In one of the toughest and biggest playing fields in the Super Scotch Doubles Series
hosted by Tucson’s Main Street Billiards this year, a mixed couple team walked away with
top honors. Olivia Jackson and Larry Gerber claimed the September crown the old
fashion way, undefeated. Olivia and Larry’s opponent in the finals, Tom Neil and Keith
Harmon did not get the chance to use the “hill eraser” option, as the finals were over
before you could say Merry Christmas.
Main Street’s Kevin Peterson and Don Lambert went home with an outstanding third place
finish along with a couple pockets full of Super Scotch Bucks. Rounding out the top four
places were Dave Collins and Tim Christopher.
No team was able to “get there” during the Super Scotch Break & Run contest, so the Main
Street Bucks Bonus will roll over to $150.00.
With the Arizona State Championship Week being held October 19th thru the 22nd, the
next edition of Super Scotch Doubles is scheduled for November, right after we all vote
yes on Prop 206, on November 7th.
