The 2006 Poker Pool finale was held Friday, August 18th thru Sunday, August 20th at the Radisson
Fort McDowell Resort and Casino. First place was captured by Ike Van Atta. Mitch Ellerman finished
second. Mitch was faced with having to beat Ike twice in the finals in this true double elimination event.
Mitch won the first set of the finals 6-1. Ike bounced back with a 2-0 win in the second and deciding set.
This tournament was handicapped. The handicap called for Ike to win just two games to win a match
while Mitch was racing to six games to win a match. Please see below for all the top finishers and
payouts. The number next to the players name indicates that players handicap rating via information
from the Arizona Ratings Committee list.
