Breaking News #66
:: Arizona Pool Scene   www.azpoolscene.com
After spending one month in Phoenix in 1992, I
moved here to live in 1996.  I have truly enjoyed
my involvement in the pool community here and
really cherish the friends and acquaintances which
developed in the ensuing years.

I am moving from Phoenix at the end of July and
didn’t want to leave without saying so long to many
of the aforementioned friends and acquaintances.
I don’t say good-bye because that has a ring of
finality, and if I have learned anything in my
considerable years, it is that nothing is forever.  I
could be back even if it is just to visit.

In closing, thanks to all the courtesies and
friendships extended to me during my years in
Phoenix and I will miss you all very much.  Shoot
straight, take care of “whitey”, and never, ever,
let’em see you sweat!
Gene Krzak
In June 2006, Gene Krzak moved out of state.
Gene wrote the following:
I got a call today from Pat Dicker who was very
close to Gene when he lived here in Phoenix,
and has remained close to Gene and stayed
in touch with Gene even after Gene moved
last July.

Gene Krzak passed away today (May, 9th,
2007).  Gene was one of the best people I,
personally, have ever had the opportunity to
know.  Gene loved the game of pool.  Over
the years he relayed some of his pool stories
to me.  Stories that bordered on the fantastic.
I really did like this man very much and I know
for sure he left a lasting impression on those
of us that were lucky enough to get to know
him well.  He will be missed.
On May 9th, 2007, Gene Krzak
passed away.
