The 30th Annual BCA National 8-Ball Championships is fast approaching.  The 2006 Championships are just over two months
away, May 12-20, 2006.  This year’s entries are on pace to surpass the 2005 Championships.  Important event deadlines are
rapidly approaching and listed below.

March 1, 2006 deadline:

The first critical deadline is upon us, March 1, which signifies the last day a league may become sanctioned.  Without this league
sanction, players participating in that league will not be eligible to participate in the tournament.
•        If you are a League Operator and have not as of yet sanctioned your league, you must do so immediately.
•        If you are a league player and did not receive a BCA Membership Card from your League Operator, you should contact your
League Operator/BCA Pool League national office for clarification.

March 27, 2006 deadline:

•        The March 27th deadline represents the final day an entry fee can be taken without a late charge, so get your entries in soon.

March 28-April 10, 2006 deadline:

•        Entries postmarked between March 28 and April 10, 2006 must include a $25 late fee and must be paid by money order,
cashier’s check or credit card.  No Personal Checks accepted!

Added Money $92,500    &    100 Commemorative Cues by Joss

The BCAPL has added a record $92,500 to the 2006 Championships.  In addition to the added money, the BCAPL has
commissioned Joss Cues to produce 100 BCAPL commemorative cues, each valued at approximately $250, to be given away at the
Championships.  This brings the overall added money and giveaways to well over $115,000 for the 2006 BCA National 8-Ball
Championships.

New Player Member Division

Additional divisions have been added to the 2006 Championships.  The BCAPL created a new Player Member Division for men and
women and added $10,000 to the combined divisions.  If you are not a league player, you will be eligible for this division and not
eligible for the Open Division as in years past.  We are excited to offer this competitive division and separate the league players from
player members to create a more level playing field for all.

Women’s Teams

Just a reminder:  Women’s Teams may form from anywhere within the League Operator’s system and no longer have to meet the
eligibility requirements of three (3) original players.

Riviera Hotel & Casino    $79 nightly including weekends

The rooms are filling fast at the Riviera.  Be sure and get you reservation in soon.  You may use the link at www.playbca.com by

Exhibitor Booth Space Sold Out

The 2006 Championships exhibitor space sold out last week.  This is a great barometer for the excitement surrounding the 2006
Championships.  The Riviera Hotel & Casino is preparing for the event, players are sending in entries earlier than last year and the
BCAPL national office has shifted into high gear organizing the event.
We look forward to seeing you at the Championships.
