Ron Merseal has purchased one of the 9' Diamond Pro tables used in the 2006 Derby City Classic and will be putting it
in Alexander's soon - probably before this challenge even gets read by anyone. Knowing Ron, and the way he handles
his tournaments and equipment at Alexander’s, I think this will be the best playing table in town, if not the entire state,
so I'm hoping to be one of the first people to be in action on it. So here you go…………..
Challenge Format: 10-Ball, 9’ Table, eight games ahead for a minimum of $1000.00 per player. ~ All scheduled
challenges (dates and times) must be approved by Alexander’s. ~
Unlike the last challenge match we saw at Alexander's, I'm not offering to pick from a list of takers. I want to play all
takers on the list. The more the merrier. The only condition that I want to add is that only the loser can quit. If the loser
wants to continue to play, they have that option. In other words, I may want to fire more than one barrel if I get beat and
my opponent(s) may want to fire more than one barrel if they get beat.
Even though I have committed to playing “all takers on the list” heads up, I'm also open to the possibility of giving up a
little weight to an opponent who really does need it. So, don't feel like you have to be rated a 10-1 to accept this
challenge. I do reserve the right not to play any player who asks for weight if that player and I can not agree on a game
that would be fair to both of us.
Remember, the game played for all challenges will be 10-Ball. You one-pocket players can keep that game all to
yourselves.
Exceptions to the challenge offer: For reasons that I am sure will make sense to everyone, and to give the best player
in Arizona and current U.S. Open One-Pocket Champion his due, there are two exceptions to my open challenge. A:
This open challenge is offered to full time and continuous Arizona Residents only. I know there are a couple guys who
might live here for 3 days, then live in Texas for 3 days, and who knows where else the rest of the time. If I get any offers
from anyone like that, while I still might accept, I don't feel obligated to play. B: This challenge is not open to anyone
who’s last name begins with an “F”, has five letters in it, and ends with a “T”. Other than those two exceptions .......
who’s your daddy?
Let’s play!
