Iris Ranola Dominates Final AWBT Stop
AWBT’s Final Stop of the 2009 Season

The AWBT’s final stop of the 2009 season was held at Bull Shooters Phoenix on 10/3 – 4! Eleven women came out to play in the main event on Saturday. This was a $300 added, 9-ball tourney on 9-ft tables.
Iris Ranola dominated the tournament, breezing her way through all of her matches, winning the hot-seat and the event! Iris is such an inspiration and a joy to watch play! Rounding out the top 4 were
Susan Williams (2nd), Ashea Erdahl (3rd) and Heather Torpin (4th)! Congratulations ladies!
The completion of this tournament finalized the 2009 season points standings! Congratulations to
Stacy Novack for being the AWBT 2009 Season Points Champion! This means Stacy will have a seeded position in the WPBA Regional Tour Championships! Congrats also to the rest of the top 8 points finishers for 2009 Season! These ladies will all receive invites to the WPBA Regional Tour Championship: Susan Williams,
Angel Paglia, Ashea Erdahl, Heather Torpin, Susan Mello, Sara Miller and
Darlene Stinson! Congratulations to all of you! We’ll be routing for you all the way!
To mix things up, instead of the usual 2nd chance event, Mike of Bull Shooters graciously added another $100 to hold a ladies open tournament on Sunday! Also, Jim Beck, who had become a fan through the course of watching the women on Saturday, donated another $60 to the purse! So the AWBT held an unofficial ladies open tourney on Sunday with a prize fun of $160! Thirteen ladies came back on Sunday to play in that event!
Congratulations to Iris Ranola for dominating Sunday and winning this event! Susan Mello took 2nd place and 3rd place went to Susan Williams. Congratulations and great playing ladies! Thanks to all ladies for coming these two days and supporting Bull Shooters and your AWBT tour!
A HUGE thanks to Mike, Julie, Brook, Toby, Geebo and all the other folks at Bull Shooters! This place is AWESOME! We encourage all of our readers to stop by if you haven’t had the chance already! The food is awesome and they keep their tables in pristine condition! In fact, they just re-felted some! They have football on Sunday and it’s just a really awesome facility! We LOVE playing here!
Just a reminder we are holding the AWBT Annual Membership meeting on Sunday, November 8th, at noon right back here at Bull Shooters! We invite all members and non-members to come, give your input and help us make this wonderful tour even better!
We will be working on our 2010 schedule as soon as possible and will hopefully have it finalized by the end of January. We plan on having lots of great stuff for our players, so be sure to keep your eye out for future information regarding the AWBT!
