The 10th and last leg of the 2005 Arizona State All-Around, played at
Main Street Billiards in Tucson, shaped up early as a formality. Terry
Osborne won leg #10, a big table 8-Ball event, when he defeated
Dennis Orender by the score of 9-4 in a one race extended race final.
The win by Terry cinched the All-Around point title and earned Terry
the title of Arizona's 2005 All-Around State Champion. Once Terry
had won the hot seat in this event, his position on the years point
standings was to the point where he could not be overtaken for first
place even if he failed to close out this event with a win. Terry
refused to leave it up to the calculator as he finished off the 2005
All-Around with the win. Dennis, who found himself on the one-loss
side of the bracket early, finished a very respectable 2nd as he
battled his way through the one-loss side, match after match, to get
into the finals.
Main Street Tucson's Donnie Westbrooks finished third and Chris
Adams finished fourth. Tied for 5th/6th was Tony Confalone and Eric
Beeler. Dave Crowell and Kirk Moench rounded out the cashers with
their 7th/8th place finish.
The Arizona Pool Scene wishes to congratulate Terry Osborne on his
win in this event, but more importantly, congratulate Terry for winning
the most prestigious title in Arizona pool ... Terry Osborne is The
2005 Arizona State All-Around Champion!
