Seniors Bar Box Tournaments and State Championship
Kitty's and Alexander's team to offer more play for Seniors
Kitty Carroll from Kitt'ys and Ron Merseal from Alexander's have teamed up to offer a tournament
series unlike any tournaments offered in the past.
Kitty's will be running four bar-box tournaments a year that are for players age 55 or older.
Alexander's will not be running seniors bar-box tournaments during the year but will run the
Arizona Seniors State Bar-Box 9-Ball Championship annually.
The plan calls for Kitty's to run the four seniors bar box 9-Ball tournaments during each year and
then for Alexander's to run the Arizona Seniors State Bar Box 9-Ball Championships every
December.
The four players that win the four tournaments held during the year at Kitty's will receive free
entry into the Arizona Seniors State Bar Box 9-Ball Championship tournament at Alexander's
every December.
The format for Kitty's four tournaments is the tournaments will be open to all Arizona players age
55 or older. Play, of course, will take place at Kitty's. These tournaments will be handicapped.
Players will race to their individual handicap (-2). There will be a minimum race to five games.
The tournaments will be double elimination. Side pots will be offered. ........... The State
Championship tournament, at Alexander's, will consist of the four players that have won the four
tournaments played during the year at Kitty's and any other Arizona player age 55 or older.
All five tournaments will be $500.00 added. The tournament dates at Kitty's for 2008 are as
follows: January 12th, 2008 - April 12th, 2008 - July 12th, 2008 - October 11th, 2008. The 2008
Arizona Seniors State Bar Box 9-Ball Championships will be held at Alexander's on December
13th, 2008.

On October 13th, 2007 ...... Kittys will hold their first ever Seniors Bar Box 9-Ball tournament. The
winner of that tournament will receive free entry into the 2007 Arizona Seniors State Bar Box
