The Ultimate Scotch Doubles Tournament is on the horizon!
Scotch Doubles is extremely popular here in Arizona. That is a fact. The two Round Robin
tournaments played recently at Alexander's were also very successful. So............
What do you do with that information? You give the players a tournament that combines
those two formats.
Alexander's is running a Scotch Doubles Round Robin sometime in September. The format
will be as follows: The tournament will consist of eight teams. The tournament will be limited
to Arizona players only. The tournament will not be handicapped. There will be no max
rating for the teams. Each of the eight teams will play the other seven teams Round Robin
style. The two teams with the most match wins after the Round Robin is played, will advance
to the finals. The entry will be $250.00 per team.
The tournament will be an invitational. Players will be invited until eight teams have
committed to play. If you are interested in playing contact Alexander's Ron Merseal at
602-750-0044 any day but after 3pm. Update .... Tournament will be played Sept. 29th & 30th

As mentioned above, this tournament is an invitational. The teams noted above have all been invited and committed
to play. In the event one or more of the original eight teams can not play, Alexander's will invite replacement teams
from the below waiting list or knowledge of other teams wishing to participate, to fill the openings. The order of
invitation will be decided by Alexander's. In no particular order, some of the back up teams are noted below.
