The BCA’s Arizona State Tournament Committee (AzSTC) is pleased and proud to announce a new
beginning for the Arizona BCA State Championships. The “new era” of BCA State Championships, in Arizona,
will kick off with the 2006 Teams and Singles tournaments being held on March 24th, 25th, & 26th of 2006.
The tournament will be played over 2-1/2 days beginning Friday, March 24th at the BlueWater Resort and
Casino in Parker, Arizona. Special room rates will be available to all players.
The tournament will be played on (20) Diamond Smart ( 3-1/2 (x) 7) tables. The same tables that will be used
for the BCA Nationals in Las Vegas in May of 2006.
The tournament will actually be four separate tournaments. Mens and Womens Teams and Men's and
Women's Singles. The 2006 Arizona BCA Mixed Scotch Doubles State Championships are tentatively
scheduled for August 2006.
The March tournament will be a minimum of $5000.00 added with the added money distributed to the four
events based on participation.
“Singles” mini tournaments start at noon Friday. Mini’s available to all Singles & Team participates.
Singles play will begin on Friday, March 24th at 6pm. Teams check in is Saturday, March 25th, at 10am.
The following information is extremely important and will be mailed
to all Arizona BCA League operators by end of January.
Entry fees
The singles entry fee is $50.00 early entry and $60.00 late entry. The Men’s & Women’s Team entry is
$150.00 early entry and $175.00 after March 10th. No entries after March 20th. Early entry is by March 10th.
You must have played at least (4) weeks in any BCA sanctioned League session since June 1st, 2005.
Three original team members is required per team.
The special room rate at The BlueWater Resort is $69.00 per night. You must mention “Pool Tournament”
when booking your rooms. You must book by March 10th, to receive the special rate.
All info and entry forms will be mailed to all Arizona BCA League Operators by the end of January, 2006.
Dress codes will be outlined in the information packets sent to the League Operators.
The tournament will be played at the BlueWater Resort & Casino in Parker, Arizona. (37) miles south of Lake
Havasu and 2-1/2 hours from the Phoenix area. The BlueWater Resort is “The Perfect Getaway”, and is
located on the Colorado River with a 164 slip marina. All rooms are river view. The resort features nightly
bingo, keno, poker, 475 slots, blackjack, fine and casual dining, nearby 18 hole golf course, THX 4-Plex movie
theater, and an indoor water park with water slides! The phone number to the BlueWater is (888) 243-3360.
